  • Played in Provincial (15+ Championships), Western, National (Canada Games), International (1981 World Youth Series) in a variety of sports (Basketball, Football, Hockey, Baseball)
  • Coached Youth & Sr baseball & basketball for 10+ years

CHRIS MARSH

COACH

Chris Marsh is a professional basketball skills trainer who specializes in developing fundamentally sound players through knowledgeable, dynamic teaching and innovative drills and demonstrations.

Born and raised in Victoria, BC, basketball was one of the most important parts of life from an early age. He played school ball at Central Junior high and Victoria high school. Post secondary college basketball at Malaspina (VIU) from 1999-2000 and 2 years at UVic 2002-2004. Chris spent the next 5 years from 2005-2010 achieving a lifelong dream of playing professionally in Europe in Switzerland and France.

Today, through Chris Marsh Basketball, Chris offers a wide range of basketball specific skills development, and strength and conditioning programs and services – from private 1:1, small group and large group sessions, guest coach clinics and consulting. Chris intends to be a positive role model for athletes, developing important life skills through the game of basketball. GEOFF PIPPUS

COACH

  • Grew up in the US and played high school ball in Colorado Springs, CO.  Made the state sweet 16 in grade 11 and 12 and was 1st team all-region in grade 12.
  • Played on scholarship at UBC from 2010-2013. Won the Canada West Championship and advanced to the national tournament in 2010/11 and 2012/2013.
  • Completed a Master’s of Arts in Coaching Studies at the University of Alberta from 2016-2019.
  • Played on scholarship at the U of A from 2016-2018.  Advanced to the national tournament both years while winning the Canada West Championship in 2016/17. Was 4th on the team in scoring over 2 seasons. Averaged 10 ppg 5 rpg and shot 44% from 3 during the CW championship season.
  • Went through training camp and began the season with the Edmonton Stingers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) in 2019.
  • Coached at various levels since 2012.

Diego, everyone knows (who's a hooper or not really), will be on his quest to lead #1 Ranked UVIC to a National Championship, & will be in the discussion for USport Player of the Year.

SCOTT KELLEM

LEAD INSTRUCTOR

Scott was a PG for UVIC before (& during Diego's time). Scott was an All- Canadian in his last year, & has been coaching at Oak Bay. What really interested me was watching Scott's PG (Point Guard) Sessions this Spring.
